On the Precipice - NJ 5 / 87

Hey readers!

How is everyone doing? I had a great day of socializing yesterday. I actually got to see Pharmacy-best-friend! We watched "Veronica Mars" together and it made me really happy because she's cute and fun. I also took an excursion on campus and said salutations to a few people who moved in; and I may go again today.

I wonder how London, Ontario is for everyone. Particularly Parliament-friend, who has been decidedly out of touch. I hope I'm not missing anything significant. Also, I hope that the work schedule for Equestrian-friend is less demanding during the school year.

Also, I'm getting my camera today! My crappy Canon Powershot. I'll use it to take pictures of everything like an immature Sorority girl.

Anyway, this was a lame entry, because I have to get going now. I have to repair my watch, do some banking activities, and purchase some school supplies because class starts tomorrow. Fair thee well, Facebook and Blogspot.

PS: Are you reading this, Belgian-friend? If you are, Soti-Panda is going to have a friend in the form of a Webkinz very soon. Watch the video posts on your Facebook wall. :D

"Still with this?" - New Jersey 3 / 87

Guten tag, everyone. For those of you on Facebook who haven't noticed yet, this blog is linked via the DSS feed.

I usually tend not to wander outside of cult favourites when it comes to television shows, except for cartoons and "Project Runway," but I'm now tragically addicted to a decidedly successful network show called "Greek." I thought I would check it out, because I was bored and heard Belgian-friend (I'm stealing Parliament-friend's identification idea) mention it at sushi, and I'm thoroughly addicted to the happenings of the CRU Greek scene. I'm ten episodes in so far.

I visited the honours dormitories last night in order to say hi to Mathematician-friend and whoever else was moved in at the time. It was fun, but people looked at me like I was kind of an idiot when I suggested cooking something. Hopefully I'll get to bake something with Cuisine-friend soon enough. I actually have measuring cups in London now apparently, so it's good stuff.

I'm also shopping for a Canon Powershot at the moment, and will hopefully have one in my hands on Sunday/Monday. I have a sorrowful lack of actual photos on Facebook, so this will assist me greatly in making my profile more interesting. I realize that it's like Dennis Kucinich to Parliament-friend's Obama of a camera, but I'm still excited. Actual photographs, eee!

That's it for now. I'm kicking myself for caring so much about the stupid lunch thing instead of just refusing to talk about it when people asked, but who really cares if no one (who actually counts) does? See you all at the next entry.

PS: I'm planning a trip to the 9/11 memorial Friday after next (on the exact date). If anyone is interested and lives close by, feel free to contact me.
PPS: This lack of an actual "enter" key is frustrating.

Persephone - Day 2 in NJ

I created this new blog and played off the title of "cigarettes and coffee" with consideration to the fact that I don't smoke any more and find coffee gross. I will also import this particular blog to Facebook, so that you creepers can keep tabs on me if you'd like.

I had a few chocolate chip cupcakes just now so that I could have the energy to write for a little while.

There's nothing new in New Jersey at the moment. I'm going to make a few calls to U of T and martial arts centers around the state in an hour or two, but other than that it's a clear day since my friend canceled on me.

I'm still kind of annoyed about a stupid dramatic fight that ensued after I had a sushi lunch with one of my former friends. Mostly because I look like an idiot when I explain it because some of it actually is my fault, but a series of Facebook messages and her blaming me for things that didn't happen has frustrated me to a point where the entire story is just annoying and I sometimes change details in the heat of the moment.

She also brought up a comment I said about dartboards, saying I made her cry and that she would "never forgive me for it." I understand that it wasn't cool of me to say that, and that there isn't an excuse for it, but (1) I already said I was sorry, (2) it's not that big a deal, and (3) it happened in like early July, so grow up. I'm rarely still mad about things that happened a week ago.

Anyway, I miss my friends in London, Ontario. About half of them are going to Toronto this year, so I'll be sure to visit them as well the next time I'm in town.

It occurs to me that I'm in Canada for about five and a half months of the year and New Jersey for about six and a half; so I feel like Persephone. For those of you who don't know, Persephone was the Greek symbol of the Earth's fertility while she was Queen of the Underworld. Because of some trickery and concession-making, she was forced to spend half the year on Earth, and half the year in the Underworld.

I can't wait to work on the "Hell" half of the year so I can go to WonderSushi again.
